- Do I have to install an app to follow the expenses?
- No. Kankwa is a web page: the link opens in a phone browser as easily as on a computer. That is the main practical difference with tools designed for mobile first.
- Does Kankwa handle several currencies in one group?
- No. A group uses a single currency or unit, chosen when it is created. If you need automatic conversion mid-trip, a specialised app will suit you better.
- Can I import an existing group from Splitwise or Tricount?
- No, there is no automatic import. In practice you start a Kankwa group at the beginning of a new trip rather than halfway through an existing tally.
- What is the point if I only need the expenses?
- No install for participants, no advertising and hosting in Europe. If those three points do not matter to you, a specialised tool will do the maths just as well.
